We will continue to work with our partners at HUD to gain more clarity regarding this directive and future potential impacts on housing programs. The Housing Authority of the County of Monterey (HACM) Board of Commissioners The Board of Commissioners/Directors meets at the Housing Authority, Central Office, 123 Rico Street, Salinas. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 5:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M. unless otherwise noted. Please arrive 10 minutes early if you plan to join in person. The Housing Authority of the County of Monterey operates under a seven-member Board of Commissioners. Two of these Board members reside in Housing Authority family or elderly housing units and are selected to represent the needs and concerns of tenants, one over 62 years of age. Commissioners serve for 4 years, tenant commissioners for 2 years and are at-large appointments made by the Board of Supervisors of The County of Monterey. The Housing Authority of the County of Monterey (HACM) Procurement Procurement and Contract Services (PCS) Procurement and Contract Services is responsible for the procurement of supplies and services which the Authority needs for an efficient operation. In order to provide these supplies and services at the lowest possible cost, consistent with the quality needed for the efficient performance of Authority activities, a competitive bid process is utilized. HACM covers 100% of the premium for medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as life insurance for eligible employees. A portion of dependent premiums is also covered. Here's an overview of the benefits we offer: Paid Vacation: 0-2 Years of Service: 3.69 hours per pay period 3-9 Years of Service: 4.61 hours per pay period 10-20 Years of Service: 6.15 hours per pay period After 20 Years of Service: 7.69 hours per pay period Vacation days accrue from the first day of employment and are available for use at the completion of the new hire probationary period. Paid Sick Leave: 3.08 hours per pay period Accrual begins from the first day of employment. Available Retirement Plans: 401(a) Retirement Plan: Eligible employees may start contributing after six months of service.
