The Board of Commissioners/Directors meets at the Housing Authority, Central Office, 123 Rico Street, Salinas. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 5:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M. unless otherwise noted. Please arrive 10 minutes early if you plan to join in person.
The Housing Authority of the County of Monterey operates under a seven-member Board of Commissioners. Two of these Board members reside in Housing Authority family or elderly housing units and are selected to represent the needs and concerns of tenants, one over 62 years of age. Commissioners serve for 4 years, tenant commissioners for 2 years and are at-large appointments made by the Board of Supervisors of The County of Monterey. The Housing Authority’s Executive Directors serve as secretary to the Board of Commissioners.
